New Comer wants to build a small salt fish tank.
* Limited space : 20-24" tank;
* Have to be tidy & easy to manage. (wife concern);

All brothers,
Please advise:
What basic equipments are necessary?
Where to buy (please provide shop's name)?
Any set up procedures ?

 Not recomment for Ma xxx .
Try buy a tank at Ka Kei, i think around $300-400.
UGF + power head, around $250
sand
Eheme filter around $800
lamp around $300
skimmer , depends on you, can expensive to $1xxx or cheap to $98.

ugf = 底喉架
ehiem filter = ehiem牌外置過濾器
$98 skimmer can be found in 卡奇 of fish street.

If you are keeping maine fishes, Filter and skimmer is essential equipment. For UGF, some recommend it while some don't. It depends on your own choice. However, UGF is good in generating becteria in a short time but will be blocked in longer term.

tangwkp, a tank of 20-24" is an appropriate size of tank for a good start of this hobby. Read more information in the web. Do some intensive research before you buy anything. Most of the stuff the shopkeeper recommends to you are not really essential. In the long run, when you really find interests in the hobby, the 20" tank can be converted into a quarantine tank for new fish.
