4 于 2003-03-10 13:47      I cannot type Chinese just yet. I will answer you in simple terms. UV will: - Help to prevent diseases but not 100% effective. - For me, I would buy 35W to 50W UV for a 48" tank. - UV will makes the tank water less GREEN and less YELLOW in longer term. UV itself: - Most useful in quarantine tank. - Not too useful in large tank like yours (48 inches) because too much water and water randomizes (so some water may never enter the UV and be sterilized). In my opinion, I would rank the following in terms of importance: 1. Quarantine tank 2. Skimmer (or rainbar) 3. UV Less important in my opinion: UGF, canister filter, light, airpump Again, above is IMO, and doesn't account for reefs.
