今日清洗支舊殺菌燈影了數張相．

牌子:　ＫＥＭＡ　ＫＥＵＲ
型號: ＵＶ－Ｃ　１．２５０　９Ｗ

用於３０公升檢疫缸，水流３００ｌ／ｈｒ

How long are you use this uv? Is this suitable for 150L FOT? uv can prevent white spot?

師兄..小弟是新手..有事想問..^^小弟魚缸size(48x32x20).我只是養魚的.需要用殺菌燈嗎?應該用什麼的牌子?型號?xw?比較好?懇請給予寶貴意見..謝謝.

I cannot type Chinese just yet.

I will answer you in simple terms.

UV will:

- Help to prevent diseases but not 100% effective.
- For me, I would buy 35W to 50W UV for a 48" tank.
- UV will makes the tank water less GREEN and less YELLOW in longer term.

UV itself:

- Most useful in quarantine tank.
- Not too useful in large tank like yours (48 inches) because too much water and water randomizes (so some water may never enter the UV and be sterilized).

In my opinion, I would rank the following in terms of importance:
1. Quarantine tank
2. Skimmer (or rainbar)
3. UV

Less important in my opinion: UGF, canister filter, light, airpump

Again, above is IMO, and doesn't account for reefs.
