B5, I still don't quite get it, do u agree that NO3 is the least toxic chemical amongst NH3, NO2 and NO3. OK, let's assume we have a fixed amount of waste produced by unconsumed food, fish excreta. It will decompose into NH3>NO2>NO3 if the tank is cycled, right? So, if the source, the waste, is exhausted, there will be no NH3 and then no NO2 and NO3 la, so what's the problem of being a very effective converter? Of course, if there is a lot of waste, the source, you may find some ways to export them at the source or at the end, like protein skimmer or algae growth with frequent harvest. Am I missing sth. here?
