7 于 2003-07-11 10:03      KK, The head holes of your angels are getting seriously bor. Did u use carbon in your filter? If so, pls remove it at once and I used to handling this problems by adding sea water minerals daily. I forgot the name of the bottle but is like U.S.A. mineral in blue color and cost HK$18.00 each. CHEAP. After a month, then holes are seal up.

10 于 2003-07-11 10:48        孖蛇.... 平時冇加炭既習慣... 都有落vitachem浸食物佢比食.. 老野.. 咁你知唔知係咩病? 摛晚入chatroom有班魚友仔教左路.. 似乎係主缸落藥但又清唔晒長期就會咁.. 講真係有落銅又有落黃粉入主缸.. 但只係換水換到冇乜黃色就加炭吸.. 銅就直頭未用過吸銅線去吸... 唔知係咪有關呢? 問題或承受過 不相信拋下過 最後決定一雙肩膊別太肩膊 三十一畫：此數大吉，名利雙收，漸進向上，大業成就。（吉）

11 于 2003-07-11 11:46      KK, My experience was long term using copper and other medication in the tank. (like u said). and the head holes are spreading (like old guy said). My record shown me the blue tang had it then the French angel and Blue ring angel are very easy to have head holes. I am not sure whether it is cause by bacteria or using medication or the fish is long term lack of mineral from ocean which causing the scales to come off particular after scratching it's head. However, if u don't mind the urgy looks and use lots of minerals additives (excessive amount) daily. The fish can recover soon. I use lots of copper for ICK control and knowing blue ring & blue tang will have head holes after use of copper for a while (short time). But recovering take a long time!! So I avoid in keeping this fishes. Good luck.

13 于 2003-07-11 12:05      old guy, I am not sure whether it is cause by bacteria, but all I knew among all the different type of fish that I kept within the same tank, only angel, some butterfly and tang are carrying the head holes while others are free from this type of problems. U have 眼黃 (Liver disease)、唇黑 (posioning)、面腫(smack by your wife) ? Only joking? hehe................

15 于 2003-07-11 15:16      Daniel, I use USA minerial (trace element) before, I found them good as my fish are heal from head holes. But pls noted my fish were small French angel and blue Ring. The blue tang are never heal before it die!! The angels have small no. of head holes around the eye and near the mouth. It works for me under the condition of the follow: 1)Use active carbon remove all the medication (if any) before apply trace element 2)Remove used carbon from filter 3)Protein skimmer removed 4) Daily dosage of the trace element (twice a day) and I think (never try at that time) feed the fish with vitachem (like KK) could help too.
