to keep 麒麟 :

Minimum Tank Length/Size:
A minimum 60 gallon aquarium is recommended since a minimum of 75 pounds of live rock is needed in order to sustain them.

唔係wor！我個缸100L，有25磅生物石左右，我條麒麟都好健康，已經養了3個多月。

Oh..... is it .
actually i also have some experince as you . mine also keep about 3~4 month

( 200L 20~30 kg LR )
can you tech me what he eat ????
my only nip the LR . never take any fish food.

any others information from others fish friend ??

ps1: the post just for information sharing and well come everybody commend and information

ps2: do notice somebody buy 麒麟 without LR and can not keep it long. so post out this post hope can help

佢食紅蟲同豐年蝦，不過食得比較慢，小心俾其他魚搶食晒！
所以我先餵乾糧，再餵急凍紅蟲！

急凍紅蟲同豐年蝦，當然生豐年蝦都食，生紅蟲就未試過。

教佢食野個方法係朋友教我，先將一磚急凍豐年蝦用鉗鉗住，跟住就在缸中搵件有藻既生物石，將磚豐年蝦掘在上面，等d藻痴住d豐年蝦，跟住就要睇下條麒麟醒唔醒目。如果佢醒游過就會dun黎食，食得1,2次，佢就會開始四出搵野食。

依家我條麒麟以懂得石上、沙面、吸水口、甚至游到水面搵野食！

actually i do notice last time have 1 person asking how to keep 麒麟.
but not much information to him .
so when i saw the link just want to let him know. but can not find back the old post therefore just post here

but .............no reponse ..........??????

BTW happy and lucky learn some new method from u

ps: at malaysia forum have 2 member would like to keep madarin .
i will try to translate your training method to them. hope u don't mind

Hi clownfish,

How about your 麒麟？ did he die in your nature tank?
Hope not la
my one become thin coz I have buy a French Angel. He eat a lot, so less food down to the bottom of the tank.
I have add more food but French really eat very fast and on the other hand add to much food, I am afraid will pollut the water.
Still thinking how to help 麒麟 eat more.

my 麒麟 still ok

he is not the looser of natural tank

but coral beauty was died. she belong to my tiger. she complane me that i am the killer

just thinking is it possible u arrange your rock to make a place that r small hole . than u sink the food into that place keep for 麒麟 ??
just thinking only

wish your 麒麟 can get back his size

甚至游到水面搵野食
or during feeding time u use something to seperate the tank temporary ??
