8 于 2002-03-17 00:48      pp, I got my tank on last Saturday. After the finish of its setting up, I filled it with fresh water and running it for two days. I'd placed 1" sand only and it had been cleaned already. In these two days time, I bought the dead and live coral. Cleaned the dead one with hot water several time (since it is very dirty) and let it dry. Placed the live one into a plastic container with salt water and aerated it. I also bought a big plastic container (capacity of 70L) for water change. Then, I released 95% water from the tank after two days. Refilled it with fresh water and mixed it with salt into the tank. Turned on the heater. Added all necessary liquid (i.e. water conditioner, trace elements, N-bacteria.........etc) and placed the dead & live coral into it also. Let the Iwaki pump working up to now. I bought three Cleaner/Doctor Shrimps (in M size) and introduced them into my tank yesterday. I've added a little bit N-bacteria liquid this morning also. Here is the record. I'm now keeping my tank water, N-bacteria and the three shrimps. 養魚係一個贏贏的遊戲---a Win-Win game. You can win, I can win, all of us can win in the game at the same time. ^^

What is water conditioner, is that the one make water condition stable? I heard that doctor shrimp require good and mature water, how can you introduce in new water?

10 于 2002-03-17 21:02      pp, N-bacteria : PSB (made in Japan) Water conditioner : removes harmful chlorine and chloramine, alleviates stress, binds heavy metals and water clarifier...........etc. I haven't heard that doctor shrimp need a good and mature water condition to keep it. Anyway, up to now, my tank's water condition must be the best. Since it is a new tank ma, no problem of NH3, No2, No3..............etc. 養魚係一個贏贏的遊戲---a Win-Win game. 12 于 2002-03-18 17:32      Sure, eddi. It costs me totally $5,680 (excluding the set up fee and transportation fee). May I suggest you not to order your tank with 30" height?
