qqleo, Live rocks can create a more natural environment for the fish. And small creatures such as shrimps and crabs will hide themselves in the holes of the rocks, just like what they're doing in the sea. And if make larger holes with pieces of rocks, it also provides shelter for some timid fish or new introduced fish. I think 一支支孔既地方出出入入 are the tube-worms. You may visit here http://www.aquarium.org.hk/cgi-bin/ch/topic_show.cgi?id=781&h=1#6126 for some info quoted by iczfirz. Changing water every 3 days maybe more than enough. I suggest do it on a weekly basis. You may also check the NH4/NO2 reading before and decide if water change is needed. For my mini tank, I added 2 fire-birds last Saturday but found only 1 this morning, don't know if the other one has hided away or ..... I'll post a few more pictures later. |
