wwlword, It's right! Fish and soft corals are not protected unless they're declared as endangered species, but all hard corals (LPS + SPS) are protected under International Law, requires a CITE permit to import & export. I found out a loophole in US when I called my Fish & WildLife, that is, for personal consumption I can export up to 8 pieces of SPS to HK, then again, I might have to get a CITE permit from HK just to import it. ICZFIZ, Sacrafice has to be made, these fishes would die in their tanks. If we don't buy these reef fishes from seafood restaurant, they won't sell anymore. No demand..... no supply! |
