Some personal thoughs. I don't think fish has the "white shit" = the fish being cyanide poisoned. This is because I often found my health fish (kept for 6 months) are sometimes producing "white shit". Of coz, I don't cyanide my fish in my tank. Besides, when it happened, all other fish are seems to be normal. As a conclusion, I believed if the condition of that particular fish is poor, then it may output with "white shit" and the condition can be improve by change of water, food etc.
As for the 小丑 fishes. I found that is quite interesting to some people can keep this fish very easy and I have kept many of them before, but they mostly either grow too big and aggressive which force me to let them return to the sea or being killed by other fish or the water condition ran bad which cause the death of all my fishes. However, some friends of mine told me the same stories as you guys that the 小丑 is very hard to keep and never have any sucessful case even tried a dozen before. But all other kind fishes are normal and live well in their tank. So I am very puzzled why this fish is hard to keep (other than the reason of a sick fish) due to the below understandings
1) 小丑 is a easy "open mouth" fish and eat everything from live to dry food
2) 小丑 is not sensitive to water condition in compare with angel or butterfly. However, a tankful of butterfly & angel fishes might be able to upkeep one little or big 小丑. I don't know why?
3) 小丑 could be an agressive fish, it can well protect by itself and not easy bully by other fish. But even if other damsels can live but only 小丑 can not survive, again I don't know why?
4) 小丑 is stronger against diease infection in compared with tangs, angel or butterfly. My friends has all three type of fishes but not 小丑. I don't know why either.
All the assumption above and my experience are based on a FOT. If you are keeping a RT. The situation may be different due to the 小丑 secrete a lay of coating on it's body to protect it against the sea anemone. If the fish is suffering a poor condition which might stop the secretion of the protective coating. Once the fish is touching the sea anemone. The 小丑 will die.
