如果你真係一個form 2學生, 學好D基本英文文法先, 養魚事少, 日後時間多的是呀...一係就唔好寫香港人英語(雖然香港人會明你講乜), 打中文......語文呢加野, 用/寫/讀慣左就好難改...dead...sad...出到社會做事俾人笑, 話你冇料...你仲後生, 唔好忽略呢D基本功呀!smile...

我少少意見o者, 唔想見到香港又多一個連基本英文文法都唔識的年青人.smile

Generally, in custom, we accept simple english (even though Chinese's english) in net/web communication. However, if you want to improve your level of english, here is also a way for you to practise. You can try to discuss here in formal english. Which is not only a chance to get more information about fishes/coral keeping, but also a beneficiary of your english practice. smile

Anyway, it is up to you la. smile

Agree with Wankel that language is simply a way to communicate.tongue...但係呢度唔serious唔得o架, 講多/講少/講錯一個字令到對方會錯意, D反應都好唔同架.tonguesad...所以HOW TO COMMUNICATE HERE都係一種學問黎o架.tongue

Kenny, simple english is not necessarily a standard english (BUT STANDARD ENGLISH'S PATTERN IS NOT EQUAL TO FORMAL ENGLISH)...我冇話自己英文掂, 要求人地D乜的smile 我只係知道點樣簡單o既野都有佢o既基本元素/模式, 根基唔可以缺少..., 好似He's/She's/It's; I'am/They're/You're/We're; verb-to-be(to come, to swim, to play)咁...He to swim(他去游泳)dead...need care what things (需要注意D乜)dead...Yat Wong in where? (日旺o係邊?)dead... I hope buy (我想買)dead...in where buy(o係邊度買)dead...you quick go to buy (你快D去買)dead......我o地雖然係明白講乜, 咁如果(有需要)用英文問/答人時點算呢? 好似政府o既宣傳短片咁, 搵第二個答? 用番呢D所謂英語? 笑死人...呢D都係一D"基本"句子模式, 唔關simple定informal english事的wink...Also, I am not going to tutor you guys english lesson rightnow. I just quote some examples for your reference.big smile

講真果句, o係"本地"討論區/聊天室當然冇所謂啦, 大家明就得...去到外國, 去考會考甚至高考, 返工時supervisor係外國人點算呢?disapprove...我都有幾個同事/上級係外國人的(不過唔同dept., 冇事唔會去搵佢果Dbig smile), 都o係reefcentral.com, reefs.org, canreef.com呢D較大規模的外國forums registered及問過好多野的...佢地都尚算明白我的意思, 想表達D乜...學到fishkeeping之餘, 又可以學埋寫/睇英文...tongue

我完全同意你的講法，大家是中國人，用中文溝通當然會得心應手，如果要用英文表達，最好還是留意一下基本英文文法，因為小小文字上的差異，意義可能相差甚遠，就是為了這個原因，雖然自己的中文輪入不好(很慢)，還是盡量用中文來與大家溝通。

Indeed, I have difficulities understanding some of the English message in the forum mainly because they are written in Chinese-style English. I usually need to GUESS what they mean. I don't mind simple English (I really like it and I think simple English is good English) or even just phrases (incomplete sentences) provided that they are grammatically correct and present exactly what you want to say.

對於你個缸的意見：
1)BB品牌的過濾器並不適合用於咸水，鹽塊結晶會阻礙抽水摩打的散熱效率，小心。
2)２４寸缸來說１８條魚太多了。
3)由啡苔來推斷，閣下的魚缸NO3可能很高，check 下D水好D！

食苔古B在生蟲賣３０大元。
