Hi Benson, my penpower has just broken so have to reply in Eng ...why the return pipe is Ehiem + grey PVC with 2 45 degree "Cook" instead of one single Ehiem only which can be connect directly to the "up-water PVC" With more connection points the risk of leakage will increase, and the two 45 degree "Cook"s will reduce the power of the flow. Also, there shall be no need to use "Hau Ma" for Ehiem pipes. Although some "Hau Ma" claims to be made of stainless steel, they DO get rusty So better remove them lar As for the sump, I assume that you are gong to place white cotton in the first chamber As the white cotton can catch a lot of wastes over time, it is better to use a removable "cotton box" which is placed higher so that it is not immersed in water. This makes the replacement of cotton easier and will not turn the water in the 1st chamber dirty when replacing the cotton |
