Step 1 – buy 10” 80mm water pipe and 80mm I-joint from metal shop
Step 2 – buy a normal 34mm plastic pipe from fish street (around 8-10 inch)
Step 3 – get some plastic ring for shielding purpose
Step 4 – plug in the 80mm I-joint to the AZOO skimmer with plastic ring
Step 5 – plug in the 10” 80mm water pipe to the I-joint
Step 6 – put the skimmer cup to the top of water pipe with plastic ring

Remarks :
A. AZOO skimmer diameter is 80mm, thus it is very fit for 80mm water pipe.
B. The more powerful water pump you have, the longer 80mm water pipe you can extend. For example, in my case, I am using 4000L/hr pump for 10 inch extension.
C. The green 34mm plastic pipe is to increase the pressure on water outlet. I am using around 8 inch in my case.
D. Total cost is around HK$40. I think it can be comparable to Jetstream 100 performance.
E. No glue has been used in whole DIY, so you can resume to a normal AZOO skimmer.

The performance depends on your pump power. More powerful pump, longer extension and more bubble.

And, the skimmer performance is proportional to height of skimmer, diameter of skimmer, water flow and amount of bubble.

In my case, before modification, the water in skimmer cup was green, now turned to brown.

You can try with little cost and able to resume to normal easily.

哈哈，我亦搞掂！改裝後打左幾個鐘都無料到，以為失敗，但我一直開住，打左兩日，有泡出～～～

I have modified AZOO in the same way except sealed the original skimmer with the i-joint with silicon. I use ViaAqua pump (claimed to be 4300L/H) and the performance is acceptable. All the equipment (pump, original skimmer) fits with ehiem 34mm plastic pipe.

不過我略兼D泡唔夠多同唔夠細，Azoo入水位限際左一定要用佢個小孔來入氣，唔可以自己加泡，你地有冇呢個問題呢？可唔可以鑽開入水位，令到入水時沒有泡，然後自己在泵度加氣喉，令D泡又細又多呢？

其實AZoo係靠VT噴咀去造泡.. VT噴咀本身出水果邊在受壓或阻力下會減底造泡功能.. 就算成支浸水到杯位或出水閘駁長到杯位亦不能減小受壓情況.. 正如一個出水口打氣既潛水頭你放到入三尺水深既缸底.. 分分鐘打唔到氣一樣道理.. 大家同唔同意呀?

To Haiven,

In my experience, at the beginning, I extended 12" (instead of 10"), then I need to close smaller the outlet switch to increase the water pressure, that make the water level reach 12" extension. But, at the same time, the water flow will be decrease and less bubble.

Then, I reduce to 10" extension, thus I can open the outline switch more and increase the water flow to have more bubble.

To increase amount of bubble, I suggest you can get a larger pump (but it costs money) or cut the 80mm pipe (how long actually, it depends on your pump).

On the other hand, since I have an air pump, I have an idea to put a "wooden air stone" inside the azoo skimmer from the water outline tube, but I have not tried yet.

唔係好明壓力及VT噴咀問題(因為讀文科), 但見佢打到野出, D野又有臭味同啡色, 我就當佢ACCEPTABLE嫁啦, 可能我要求比較低.

森美仔.. 我都唔知點講好囉.. 簡化黎講.. 你諗下如果你塞實個出水口.. 咁你個氣口就一定谷水出黎黎啦.. 深入水水講.. 所以流質由壓力大既地走去壓力細既地方.. 正如VT噴咀中間收細又之後放番大.. 收細就係加壓加速. 但又在放大既地方造成減壓減速.. 並又開多個洞.. 咁氣就會因減壓力及高速水流拉入噴吐內打成泡沫..
仲唔明.. 講多個例子..就好似你用個口吹氣.. 吹出黎既氣會令咀外四周下巴兩邊面既空氣都扯埋你個咀吹向前.. 但如果係你咀前一吋就閘住d野.. 咁氣就會由咀四邊走..
仲唔明.. 咁.. 幫唔到你囉..

我都有相同問題出現。
泵我就唔買喇，就算加大泵的出水量我相信都改善不大，因佢個入水口限死左，我諗緊鑽開個入水口，等水可直接入去，再在泵索水口度加兩條氣喉，因之前試過咁樣出水法有好多泡～～

嘩.. 你鑽大個VR噴咀口.. ???? 仲有.. 支身太高亦未必係好處.. 因為柱身高水壓大你d泡上升既速度亦快.. 雖然亦可叫多d位佢升上去. 即同水既接觸時間多左.. 咁亦冇乜大意思.. 所以最好不如諗下法子令氣泡在管中旋轉.. 咁就好好多.. 其實要改佢.. 我個人覺得最好買支五吋或八吋短d既管去改佢做旋渦都好過買支80mm長管.. 因水壓過大呢..
