Hi bigfishlun, I do not think that boiling the toilet water as a mean of purging it of harmful bacteria is a good idea at all mainly because, in my subjective view, the heating process obscures the natural chemical composition and structures of the water (H2O and other chemicals) on the nano level which is still not fully understood by today's most advance science. I suspect that the reorganizing of the nano-chemical structure of the toilet water by boiling may be of no advantage in respect to the health of the animals living in the aquarium. A second and less troubled disadvantage of boiling toilet water that comes to mind is that it rids the water of dssolved oxygen. This problem, however, as you all know, may be rectified by bubbling the water with an air pump. On the the view of traditional Chinese medicine, boiled water is "hot", which works differently from unboiled (cold) water in the medical sense. Hope I have delivered my message clearly.
