Power House(沒有記錯名子)生物環,日本貨及最平都要$80/0.25L,是不是very good 的,它貴過其它牌子生物環,買唔買得過?big smile

係叫PowerHouse.. 但功能如何我又唔知呀... 不過日本仔係鐘意玩迷你包裝細細盒.. 其實唔係太貴的話乜都試下啦... 如果你係新身好似我咁... 我就是油叉蛋中平價野二百幾3L裝既環就算.. 不過你想玩貴野既我見好多時捨得既魚友都會用AC或屎哇既玻璃環... 但你不如睇真一d睇多d魚友既相.. 睇下佢地用乜鬼環又唔成日叫救命話個缸唔掂咁咪仲實在啦big smile

參讀你在友網hk-fish的描述，得知你打算使用魔術泥及草缸來代替生物環的使用，正好小弟的珊瑚缸是使用此方法，所以不如在此分享小弟的經驗，小弟的珊瑚缸是三十六寸缸，在落水槽使用了約兩箱Dupla生物球（期望利用好氧性細菌將NO2轉作NO3）跟住去草缸（有使用魔術泥及栽植水草）希望憑此來吸收NO3，PO4等惱人物質。開缸初期，為了催生生物過濾系統的成熟，我使用了一隻乾劑硝化菌，並於最初兩星期，隔日添加試管裝的液體硝化菌，放進極多的生物石（約兩箱半），除了在開缸後三個月，因出紅苔並測試出水質含NO3，所以額外使用了一細樽裝的aquacharger外，水質的NO2和NO3讀數都在理想的水平。當然，因我從未試過by-pass草缸，所以難以驗證究竟這是草缸和魔術泥發揮功能抑或生物石原因。但我的珊瑚缸肯定屬於重loading的類別。
相信你的置缸計劃已到達最後階段，我自已認為無面擔的缸，用吊燈會正D（可參考海皇的新缸），因為可同時欣賞魚缸鳥瞰的角度。
講番power house，這個日本產的生物環曾獲日本水族產品大賞，我的使用經驗全部來自淡水養殖，其特點是分開兩種，一種是能將水質維持微酸性，另外的就是鹼性（如用於咸水及孔雀魚），其效果另人滿意，但其高昂售價令不少人卻步。現在，日本市面有工業用5L裝，但香港好像未曾引進。Power house可於川河，泊浪，濱流找到。big smile

thanks a lot for your informative advice first.

meanwhile, i am still puzzled with:
1. whether RO/DI is a must for a reet tank
2. MH or T5-2+PL
3. how large is the refuguim is ideal
(large size imply large volume of miracle mud-> $)
4. is good to run skimmerless
5. i incline to use DTs or "green water". i think skimmer
would skim most of them out(esp. it is an overkill skimmer,
say, H&S or ETSS). those practice contradict each other

would you please post some of your tank and
in particular, your sump tank.
(photos say much more than words)

there are much i am to learn from all you advanced hobbists
and thanks again for your help

這是我早期的沙缸layout，現已外置了草缸（用膠底Nisso缸改裝）。這是錯誤的示範，因先造缸，後買儀器，而魚缸成品尺寸有出入，所以扑掉了很多過水的間隔，必須注意。
其餘問題，遲D再一齊研究！

1. is it an usual practice putting the CA reactor inside the chamber
(partial in the water)
what is the brand of your CA reactor?
2. what is your return pump?
3. i cannot see the miracle mud, any close-up please
4. no pH controller?

Q1 : H&S內置型鈣反，需放在沙缸。
Q4：有買，但睇過其它文章說有草缸（長開草缸照明或和主缸照明時間相反）可不用關掉，祇需注意CO2的份量及鈣反出水量。因草缸的植物能消耗游離的CO2份子。所以抽起左（PH controller電極有問題，讀數唔準）sad
Q2：Ehiem的最新model上水泵（會幾熱）。
Q3：搵緊D相，等等…

A1：最好有啦，無都得（先用新水劑處理水喉水）。
A2：敏感問題，但個人認為MH產品較豐富及應用技術較成熟。
A3：越大越好，有人的草缸和主缸差不多1：1大。
A4&A5：我知道外國有珊瑚愛好者這樣做來飼育超困難的雞冠及海柏。其它詳情沒有留意。
備忘：我自已覺得魔術泥可以用作種泥（我依家的草缸有鈣沙，魔術泥及野採的活砂），並不需要全部都用魔術泥。
