Greetings guys,
My name is Damien from Singapore. Recently, I went to the famous Tung Choi Street here in HK. I found that there are a couple of shops selling marine fishes, offers setting up of tanks.

What I found interesting is the Artifical Reefs tanks set up which contains only Artifical corals and few fishes.

In Singapore, we seldom encounter these kind of set-up, which I find very environmental friendly and much easy to maintain.

From the shop owners there, I understand that they are acting like middle-man for these set -up. There will be a company who will do the setting-up once they got the order.

To all the brothers/ sisters, I would appreciate if anyone who know that company and recommend to me.

Hi Damien,
                   Welcome to HK. I believe you should not be a very experienced hobbyist. Sorry for so plainly desription!
                  The mentioned shops are selling tank with biowheels. However, the biowheel is not powerful enough for you to keep many fishes in their tank. You have to remove the top cover first and add many equipments to maintain the tank if the tank loading is not very low..
                 IMO, in fact, using their tank can only keep few small and tough fishes. So, if you want to keep more fishes and some delicate species. Don't buy their tank.

Thanks for your immidate reply,

I have been keeping marine fish for two years now. Yes , I saw the overhead filter and agreed that they are not very heavy duty.
However, what I'm interested in is the artifical coral and other set up like dock set-up.

In Singapore, we can get very cheap live rock and coral as we are near to these producing-countries but we are destroying the natural reefs. I used to suba and realise the damage coral collecting has caused. Therefore, wish to introduce these fake coral to Singapore.

Do let me know if you know any company are producing these artifical coral.

These are the artificial coral U r talking about ,right?
I think it is OK,but I only buy those with special dicount !
Most of the stuffs they r selling at unreasonable price!!!!

Ya, They looked something like that, however, the set-up is more complex. It got different back ground and differen themes. I asked the shop-keeper whether I can buy them piece by piece, their reply is that I have to buy the whole set up .

I would appreciate if any one can advise me how to go about buying these set-up.

PS. I love Hong Kong , wish to be here in the near future again.

When you buy the artifical coral from that shop, the shop keeper deliberately cut out the tag with a scissor because the tag has the name of manufacturer written on it. Although I have 2 pieces of those artifical corals, I also have no idea where they came from. The source of manufacturing was something I wanted to find out too!

I understand that Coralife also manufacturer artifical corals like that and their web site is esuweb.com .

Since you're from Singapore, perhaps no merchant has yet obtained the agency for distributing these artifical corals there.

Hello Guys!!!
So does anyone have those kind of set-up? Maybe you guys can show us the light!I saw alot of of shops selling these setup along the aquarium street

I don't think its came from Coralife. They are like better than those produce by Coralife themselves!!
