Hi all,
I bought this from FS and use in my new reef tank ( with fishes ) . I find one shrimp & one fire bird died after one night.

Can anyone tells me is it relates to this treatment ??
In addition, my new tank setup for three weeks but all the LR& sands, filters, skimmer are moved from old tank ( setup almost one year ) .
Now, many red algae developed in my tank.
What can I do instead of keeping changing water ? I don't know if a new tank need to restart the n-cycle even all the equipment & LR are coming from old tank?
Also, some fishes have water marks around the fins. Why????

I don't know if a new tank need to restart the n-cycle even all the equipment & LR are coming from old tank?

你 D 水係唔係都是同一時間用番舊缸果 D 定係重新開過 D 新水呀 ? n-cycle 一定要穩定先至好加野, 又或者你個缸有些微改動都會影響你個 n-cycle呀, 例如 : 有無清洗過 D 舊器材啦, 有無加入新沙/珊瑚骨等等....

Hi qqleo,
First of all, thank you very much to edit the photo to smaller size, I don't know how to make it as I just output directly from DC.

I use 1/3 of the water from old tank and just 10% of old sand . I had AC in my old filter and add some new coral sand to the new tank ( less than half inch) and no ugf. But now, my PH value in the new tank always keep at 7.5 and even I add PH plus to the tank, it just increase to 7.8 for one night.
I don't know if this is due to two rocks added to the tank which is for tropical fishes???

Second, I don't know if Marine-Max is good for reef & fish tank? Anyone has experience with this product?

要用 photoshop 做呀, 或者你影時用 800 * 600 啦 !

Hi qqleo,

AC put in the third layer of 桶形過濾 . I measure the PH value with PL light on. Even I change half the water in my tank, the PH value still keep at 7.7 !!!
But when I measure the PH value of the water before pour into the tank, it is 8.2!

very headache!!!

有幾點看法 :
1.當你搬沙過新缸時,d沙中的細菌會大量死亡,因為估計細菌同微生物要附在固定的位置才能生存
2.當d菌死亡,水中no2和no3等野會高,我估你加咩藥都冇用....所以你舊缸換新缸,可以看成是新的N-CYCLE,但會比全新的缸快D者

I change half the water in my tank <=== 唔洗換咁多架, 要慢慢逐少咁換, 至多換密 D 等 D 水有幾會成長到 D 菌, 你一次換一半就坐底要等一個星期先至會生得番 D 菌, 跟住又換一半, 即係生長左變左無生長 !! 明唔明 ? 你試下每兩日換一次 20% 水, 隔日換, 唔好日日換試下啦 ~
你打中文得唔得 ? big smile 唔得都無問題 ~

仲有, 你有無用 SKIMMER 呀 ? 如果有你個缸就唔洗打氣落缸啦, 因為會破壞 SKIMMER 個運作呀 !

Now, I understand the technique. I will follow and try chemi-clean.

In regard to typing Chinese, I can type very..very slow so that I use English.
