本人真羞、養魚三個月未能養到一條魚過七天、買回來新魚放落缸兩天便全身起毛菌幾天後死去、己落了殺菌水但無效、請問26吋缸是不是唔可以養海水魚呢？需要什麼設備、邊位老兄有成功例子、請付圖參考、多謝

I'm also a new learner for saltfish.

My tank is just 18", I started my tank for 5 months, I can keep most of the fishes very well at the beginning (around 2 months), but after serious ICH appears, all my fishes died. I spend nearly 2 months to re-set up the tank, now, my fishes are quite OK.

So, I don't think small tank cannot keep fish, but may be it is not so easy compare with large tank.

For equipments, I think many experts in here will answer you. My equipment is too simple and cheap, it is not a good recommendations for you.

I'm also a new learner for saltfish.

i keep marine tank about 3~4 month , begining state i use 24" x 12"x12 " tank for 2 month , everthing is ok ,
i have same thinking as WillWill san. small tank is not the main reason for your case.

i think you better explain more detail of you tank
ex: filter system , how many fish you keep , no2/no3 reading ......
hoe you run your tank.........

so those expert can advise you.

和平，你好，你有什麼器材？養水多久才放魚？那些毛菌知不知是什麼？我諗你可能第一次買番黎既魚已經乃左野，菌附在魚身上，魚死後你又加新魚，細菌因而有新object，續繼繁殖，所以你買幾多魚都死，我睇你最好從頭設缸，將所有濾材用滾水綠過，當之前咩都無做過，養水起碼三星期先好放一兩條魚仔開缸，記住買魚時留意魚正唔正常。

09年10月暫且放下，睇下幾時再回來，有緣再見。

細缸大缸基木上是冇分別的，唯一的分別只在過濾器材。一般的細缸過濾器材都比較差，故人們有此錯誤觀念。

其實我以前都好似你咁架！冇魚養得長，但努力啦！終會成功的。而我俾你的少少忠告就係要注意落魚的速度，本人是每隔兩三星期才會加魚的，而每次只加一兩條，這樣你的N-Cycle system才承受得了。

細缸當然可以養海水魚喇...
我兩年前由16"缸開始玩起.....之后轉玩20"...而家有個24" nano reef
至於細缸點養...有乜野要注意...你搵返我以前d post喇....

多謝各位、我想真的是要從新開始過、買個新濾水器、但唔處邊種好？桶形可唔可以放生物環、炭及棉。

I'm totally agree with cyc's comment. Don't add too much fish in one time.

My case : at the beginning when my tank's N-cycle is finished, I add fish everyday (I think many new learner will do this because they cannot wait), the max no. of fish is 13, my tank is 18" only. At that time, when 1 fish get ICH, all the other fish will also get ICH within 1 day, and cannot be get well.

But now, after I re-set up the tank (no fish for 1 month), I add fish one by one (about 10 days for 1 fish), they seems quite OK now. Also even the new fish get ICH, they will get well by themselve, about few days.

So, I suggest you don't add any fish if your existing fish is not is good condition, you must wait until all your existing is in good conidtion, otherwise don't add any fish. I think it is a important factor to keep fish in a small tank.

I would like to express that i am wholely agree with 'will will' point of view.
I will check the current N0 2 and No 3 status to decide if that is the time to introduce new fish in my tank. That is the basis in keeping fish without negligency by the fish keeper. Every one do not want be be fish- slaughter! right?
