I only know that the PH is around 8.2-8.6...any recommendation for a PH pen?

But PH meter seems to be much more expensive. So what is your recommendation & how much is that?

PH meter is very valuable investment even it is quite expensive, it is more convenience and accurate than PH test kit!
I'm now is using Saga PH meter and it cost around $6xx!

其實要明白PH問題有幾種.. 其中一種係開燈前同熄燈前都有分別.. 我試過可以差成0.4. 因為藻類有光就有火合作用出O2.. 冇光就出CO2.. 另一種情況係空氣唔流通.. 令缸CO2會漬多左.. 所以有錶就可以睇實個ph變化.. 但如果你肯落ph buffer 等.. 咁ph就會定好多.. 如果你要俾錢買支筆或錶.. 你不如花幾十蚊落ph buffer好過.. 不過.. 有錶或筆的確係過引d..

我只買過用緊saga電子ph controller.. 成千二蚊.. 我冇好介紹過你..

Of course I'll buy PH buffer. But I have difficulties in matching the colour and can't recognise whether its 8.2 or 8.6, or closer to 8.2 or 8.6.

That's why I'd like to buy a PH pen, which seems to be much easier to use and costs just $2xx.

But sad to say, I just discussed this with my husband but he reject my suggestions......

He says that it is OK as long as the PH is above 8.0 so it won't matter if it is 8.2, 8.4 or 8.6. Is this true?

If the fluctuation is not rapid or big, then, there is no need to get the exact figure; over 8.0 is ok.

P.S. I've not checked the pH in my tank over three months lu...........

PH筆唔值得買，使用上並不方便，其實試劑或試紙已經okay，因為遲D你就無咁神心成日check D水，我都好耐未check過PH了。
BTW，如果PH筆要2XX，不如買PH錶6XX好過！起碼可以睇到持續的變化！
