I've two sets of salinity meters. One is thermometer like ($15) and the other looks like a transparent container incorporating a pointer inside (approx. $50). They give totally different readings for the same set of water. For example, reading shown in the “thermometer like” meter is 1.01 while the reading of the other one can be as high as 1.018. I'm really frustrated by the readings as I intend to apply hoposalinity in my Q tank. Which one should I trust? Do you guys have the same problem?
