They'll gradually disappear as your tank is matured. I had the same problem back in early 2005 when my tank was set up. After the red was gone it came the brown/hairy green. But just sit back and don't worry too much , it's nature as I mentioned they will go away finally provided you don't over-feed and make frequent water change. I change every WED & SUN weekly by 1 inch level. One more, try to shorten the priod of photosynthesis.
I have my MH turned on for 6 hours (6 p.m. to midnight) only. Save the money for other essential equipments lik a good skimmer. Hope this could help.
