Every VoIP voice channel uses about 14K (Uplink) bandwidth. So, it depends on how much traffic you have on your ADSL link. Most ADSL link in HK has about 640K (max) uplink. If your ADSL link is only used for VoIP in HK, then it might be the problem from your China size. All these VoIP will basically work provided that the traffic is good between 2 sites. We only have about 1% of support on our voip services because most of the time when they call when the voip does not work is because of the ADSL (Internet connection) is down. For the "算吾算犯法呢?", if the owner of these equipments, telephone lines subscribers and the internet connection subscriber AND the users are the same company people, then it isOK. Otherwise, if you are selling this service to other people, then it is not in CHINA. In HK, there is no regulations or no-one will sue you on this. Probably you have noticed that there are a lot of calling cards (IDD to China) selling on the market. All these are VoIP which these companies have setup their VoIP gateway like yours (Small scale) in Internet Data Center in HK and route the calls to some remote China area. There are more to come! Some small scale ISP/Telecome in northern part of China is now offering voip ground service like for RMB400/month, you can have a single line calling to any phone number in china for unlimited minute but you need to have your own voip gateway. (Yours will work.) However, since the southern part of Telecom is mostly owned by China Telecom, so these kind of service is still very very sensitive.
