The gaskets fit perfectly the holes. What I did wrong before, I believe, was not screw them tightly enough, leading to gaps between the glass and gaskets.
Yesterday, I made up my mind to dismantle the drain pipe. This allows more space for me to do something for the return pipe. I removed all the orginal "Glass rubble", dried all surfaces and re-applied tons of "Glass rubber to seal it off. For the drain pipe, I will do the same as yours, using "Glass rubber" on both sides of the glass. Let's see the result today! God bless me!
