Hikari freeze dried brine shrimp ( "HikariBS" ) HikariBS has only recently appeared in the market and is sold, at present, exclusively in Yat Wong (暫時只有日旺有得賣); HK$22 a bottle. The feed is very similar to Sera Brine shimp $57, both of which are freeze dried brine shrimp. Here are two pictures of this HikariBS. Since ingredient is written in Japanese (and not much details disclosed), I don't bother to post it here. My comment about this feed: Very similar to its frozen cousin (與同一間公司出的凍豐年蝦相似) (Hikari frozen brine shrimp). Although the HikariBS comes in cubic (立方體), but once it hits the water the cubic breaks apart quickly (一落水即散開成一隻隻豐年蝦) into individual brine shimps just like the real thing (frozen one). I think this is the major difference between HikariBS and Sera brine shrimp is that Sera doesn't break apart and stay in one piece. Of course, hobbyists have a choice of not breaking apart or breaking apart by crushing it with Sera (Sera吾會散開). For hobbyists who regularly serve brine shrimps to their fishes, this HikariBS is an alternative choice because it is clean, almost identicial to the frozen brine shrimp, and easy to store away. The bottle for HikariBS is also a beauty, colorful and attractive. This HikariBS absorbs water well, so it would be convenient to soak it in Trace Elements / Vitamin before feeding to the fishes (隻魚糧吸水力特強用來餵海水微量元素). My very rough estimate is that they are around 25-30 cubics of those freeze dried brine shimps in a bottle.
