I am new in saltfish, if we do not have to concern about NO3, how about NO2? I have a new tank, 3 weeks with 8 small fishes. I checked NO2 & NO3 tonight, both at very high level, extremely RED!! What should I do? Please share your valuable experience. Thanks!!
I would suggest you to use the search function to search about the completion of N-cycle and read throgh the "Guide for the Beginners of LC".
Normally, it would take about 40 days for the completion of the N-cycle and you should be patient during this period of time.

Thanks for your advice! Could you teach me something more. Some fish friend answered me earlier that the high NO2 & 3 at my stage is normal, is it correct? But I am still concerned about the white spot!! I place three times Pointex, my tank is 80L, I put 2ml at the first two treatments, since the result was not seen, I put 3ml last Saturday night being the third treatment. Even then, there are still a lot of white spots in some fishes. Yesterday, four out of eight fishes died!!! What should I do under two considerations, the n-cycle and the white spot!! Do I have to keep the existing status and test the n-cycle process? Or just foucsing on the white spots?
Please share your valuable experience. Thanks
