"T" is standard, the # follow is the 直徑.Home use is T8 and T12. T4 and T5 is using electronic adaptor so reduce the heat from 火牛 and save more energy. Also T4,5 no need the "start". New T5HO mean T5 high(H) output(O), the electronic adaptor is different, like normal T5 34.5" only 18W but T5HO is 39W. Branded T5HO 34" with 4 tubes selling $2xxx. DIy cheaper la. Longest T5 is 5 feets selling outside, but 35W only. U can cut it to 34.5" to fit and use with T5HO 39W, only 4W less so will not be a big problem. | |

Posted by: catlee Posted on: 2003-05-26 17:57 I mean longest T5 with the stand and adaptor is 5 feets with 35W output, if u want to make the 34" T5HO work, u have to use 5 feets stand with adaptor (the adaptor is inside the stand) to cut shorter. I make a test last sunday with this trial, and the T5HO is super bright!!:O) Will post it after I finish the whole stuff. | |

Posted by: catlee Posted on: 2003-05-26 23:55 因為原裝ballast 成$100 個, 所自己試下其它方法. 我買左四支T5HO管33.5"(39w), 跟住買左一個5' 座 連火牛(35w)回家試下. 如果唔得先至買原裝野. 回家後度好底座長度再cut短, 安裝後法覺35W牛都可谷起支 39W的T5HO, 因相差只 11%(4W) 隻牛應該冇問題, 著左兩日都幾好, 牛只是暖暖地, 光度就比普通T5 勁好多. 我會試多幾日睇睇支管得唔得. 鴨記T5座四草o野一個, 鋁制好易cut. FS "樓上果間" d T5HO (Arcadia) 做特價. 不過隻 "Marine White" 紅紅地, 街賣Philips' s T5HO 超白光白好多$60 (normal shop will order for u on demand), Osram 支blue勁正不過貴.....自己昅昅啦. | |
