Thanks for any advice in advance.

I'm completely new to RT so any help would be appreciated.

Tank: 36" x 12" x 14" (~90L)
Filtration: Fluvel 305
Skimmer: Remora Nano
Circulation: Tunze Wavebox Nano
Light: T5HO (not bought yet)

I'm planning to put live rocks next and 1 or 2 藍魔 before n-cycle completes.

My question is what should I put in the Fluvel, right now I have 2 bags of 生物環, 1 bag of active carbon, 1 bag of de-nitrate and 1 bag of PO4 absorber (per advice from the shop). Not sure if it is good if I plan to have half fish half coral?

some questions:

1. what kind of corals that you plan to keep
SPS, LPS , softies

2. just wondier if these stuffs are on your buying list:
i. chiller (it is a must if SPS is your goal)
ii. RO/DI (wise choice, if it is feasible)
iii. Ca reactor (if you plan to keep SPS)
iv. Test kits, (suggest using Salifert)

btw, i suppose you have filled your tank with "unfiltered Tap water"
i believe the water is of high readings of NO3 and PO4.
beware of these readings before you put livestock in your tank.

back to your question, just put filter cotton in your canister filter at the moment
for the other filter media, use it when the readings tell

Thanks jay,

I've decided NOT to keep SPS. Other than that, I haven't made up my mind yet.

I guess therefore I'll try to avoid using chillers if possible.

What's RO/DI?

Yes, I used just plain tap water.

Any suggestions/advice are welcomed.

Thus, your choice on coral is confined to limited species
