Powder Blue Tang, is a difficult fish to keep. If it is frighten, it will show some white strips marking on it's body.

If the fish is settle down without any stress. You should feed it with many vegetables food such as vegetables dry fakes contains sea weeds. However, you may also add some meaty food (once or twice a week) into it's diet such as shrimps for fattening of the fish.

This fish is not for beginners.

What can I do to help calm down the fish? If the fish has been calm down, what brand of vegetable food would you suggest to feed the fish and where can I buy it? Can you show the name of fish food cans?

Posted by: Sang Posted on: 2003-01-27 22:50 我條粉籃吊夠奇怪啦, 成日同一途徑極速游幾十次才肯停, 佢身上都有白點, 有時就去隻醫生蝦度醫, 因為有生物石所以我冇落藥, 只是加UV 及增加水溫. 平時我會餵豐年蝦, HBH spirulina及Hikari FD series 給牠吃, 都養了成個月lu.:)

粉吊食唔食紫菜, 豐年蝦, or Tetra flake food?

Check any old fish would like to chase or bite her. If yours is in good condition & no disease, she may start to eat soon, don't give up & good luck.

How do I know my 粉吊 is in good condition & no disease?
It has 2 unclear wounds on its body.:( and looks like very shy as it often stay a concener of the tank:(

Give some time to observe your fishes everyday to check whether any strange/extraordinary action, for example breathe quickly, always stay near the surface of water, strange style of swimming, shake its body around or rub its body to the rocks or sand, looks dull...........................etc.

You are better to spend more time to check/observe your target fishes before you buy it next time, ensure that they have no not only the above actions, but also no any wound on them. Your 粉吊 may not be a shy one. Its action, often stay at the corner of the tank, may be just a protection. Protect itself not to be fought/bitten by other fishes since it gets wound on its body. Therefore, don't buy any fish that has wound on its body again, Try your best to save it la, good luck. :)
