Posted by: cyc Posted on: 2002-10-04 00:40 franng : 食苔螺是治標不治本的方法，再者其實用閃電蟹食苔的效果更佳。 其實，啡苔多的原因除NO3高外亦可能是PO4高。如你真的確定NO3是低的話，那就check下PO4吧！如PO4高可用PO4-minus加有效的化氮器來減低PO4。 | |

Posted by: paulus Posted on: 2002-10-07 17:18 Hi fragng, Basically we have to face it, a aquarium is a close system, all feeding and remaining food will provide a good source of nitrent, it will eventually turns into different form, to reduce and lighten the problem, the best of all is reduce feeding, say by half for a while, see whether there's any improvement, but normally, all of us just love to keep more fish and more coral, the most important of all, a highly effective skimmer is a must.:}):), or actually many people like to install overcap skimmer:D;) | |

But it really produce more dirty and bad smell things.. -_- So do you think i need to buy the AZ-PO4 remover? Actually I did feed not too much. just 2 times per day and I feed piece by piece, make sure finished by the fish and then put another one. Any suggestion??? | |

Posted by: cyc Posted on: 2002-10-07 19:21 Yup, Kenny is right that P = phosphorus, I nearly forgot all the CHEM la !! Phosphorus is 15 in the periodic table. It is a non-matal and white in color in solid form. The main point is that it will form acidic solution when mix with water. And phosphorus itself will also react with acidic solution to give an unwanted by-product. So that's why it will harmful to the reefs and fishes !! | |
