Posted by: coralfish Posted on: 2002-09-04 23:18 No matter where you place it, some people put it into the main tank, some people put it into the sand tank, for my opinion, I put it into the last part of the filter system, because all dirty things will be filter out by the filter cotton before pass through the carbon, so the carbon won't be corrupted by the dirty things ! P.S don't put carbon too long into your tank, say 1 or 2 day when u need it, and must buy the good one ! | |

Posted by: coralfish Posted on: 2002-09-05 22:30 Yes, the box state that it can be place more than 1 month or more, but from our pass exprience, some carbon will absorb bad and good elements in the same time and some will release back some bad elements into your tank if the carbon is exhausted ! So carbon is just good use it when u find your tank's water become yellowish or after medication ! Rdgs, Kelvin | |
