skimmer 的直徑比高度緊要。
因為炮擊率bombardment rate。炮擊=在透明筒內，氣泡像一顆顆炮彈，擊中水中的污物。擊中後，氣泡會黏著污物，浮到透明筒的水面，集合成泡沬，再一同升起，去到化氮器的收集處。
增加直徑=增加炮擊率=擊中更多污物。增長高度，只增加氣泡與水的接觸時間，沒增加炮擊率。炮擊率=（水在透明筒內的逗留時間）除（每粒氣泡在透明筒內的逗留時間），如增高高度，兩個時間一同上升，=炮擊率不變。
