Posted by: frankie384 Posted on: 2002-07-31 16:54 昨晚死左３條魚死剩一條但見它呼吸加快好似好辛苦咁貼住打氣石到 no2 0.1 hp7.9剛加了調高劑 nh 3/4 0.1 剛換左1/4水小丑蝦and海葵and管葵一切正常應是什麼問題?????????????????

Posted by: Kenny Posted on: 2002-07-31 17:24 NH3~0.1, NO2~0.1 and pH~7.9, even one of the factors can kill your fishes. NH3 & NO2 should be 0 and pH should >8.0. At this stage, a 1/4 water change is not enough, it is better to have a 1/2 water change. When the fishes under stress, they will breathe quickly.

Look very closely at tail and fins of your fish for very fine sugar-powdered sized white spots, if you find it, your fish has Velvet.

Velvet can totally cover the gills and suffocate the fish,
it's a fast killer.

Perform Hyposalinity and add copper if you don't have LiveRocks.

The other possibility is that there's a sudden drop in pH in your tank
to cause your fish to breathe rapidly, if that's the case, buffer water with
Kent Marine dKH buffer..... slowly drip to tank.
