my new tank, I setup after 4 days, I check the NO2, I found it is 0, but after I put two fish there, after 4 days, the NO2 change to 3.3
my setting as follow:

36" long , 16 width, 30 height,
筒過濾
UV light
turboflotor 1000 multi

希望各位前背多多賜教

咁快你就用skimmer??? 新缸NO2高.. 好正常..等下就會低番.. 建議唔洗咁快開skimmer咁長時間.. UV都唔好開.. 但記得由依家開始兩個星期唔好再加任可魚或生物.. 唔係就多數要玩"打撈"

你好,我都是新手,但對開新缸有些心得...........想交流一下
唔知是否好彩,我開兩次新缸都平安過度!
(雖然第一次的新開缸在兩個月後反缸,但主要是加新器材冇洗乾淨,有化學污染而死左大部分魚)
新缸放了魚,而no2上升是正常的,不能reduce,因這是硝化作用的開始 (詳細說明你最好看看新手入門),所以不用[$#25285]心,千萬不要加生物了,畏食也可以減到四,五天一次(畏極少)或不畏.........如果你你的魚是(魔),理論上可以生存下去的,如果有朋友養海水魚,可以要一些佢缸中的沙或生物環放在過濾器中 (或水中),加快缸中的生物過濾系統成熟.......
可以把水溫加到30度左右,因水溫高細菌生長較快,所以先不用開水冷(如有),測住個no2啦,佢會一路高上去,直到你的tester出現最紅色的指數......到時可以換少少水,但不要換太多(除非d魚頂唔順),最好隔日換少少 (約1/10).......咁過一個半到兩個月度,d no2會開始少番(但no3會出現,haha).........你就可以慢慢加魚啦.
想寫多d,但要開會,有機會再談

我記得開新缸的時候最興奮，可以整夜坐在魚缸前觀看魚兒而不厭(其實現在都是)，留意魚兒的動態很重要，知道「每一條魚」甚麼是牠的正常動態後，便知道甚麼是不正常動態了。每當魚兒一出現反常動態，便要考慮是否即時出手救亡或是繼續觀察。

其實新缸NO2上升是意料中事，驗不驗NO2它都是會上升的，此時應注意魚兒有沒有反常動態，如沒有的話，表示魚兒仍然能夠適應NO2的上升，此時的NO2無論是多高，仍然可以繼續觀察。相反，若魚兒出現不正常動態的話，如–

1) 呼吸加快和吃力
2) 減少以至不吃東西
3) 不停在缸內來回游動，神情不安如要逃離你的魚缸(其實是逃避NO2的刺激)
4) 生病

則無論NO2是多低，都必須要即時處理。

新缸NO2上升後，跟著常常會出現的後果，便是魚兒起白點，最終全缺魚和所有新加的魚全部死亡。建議所有初學養魚的魚友必須預先學習處理白點病的方法，和要有心理準備。

Your tank is 36" and has two fishes only. Generally, NO2 shall not raise up in such a fast way. Do you have sand bed or dead coral in your tank? Do you have a sump? It might be not enough space/place for the N-bacteria to hide, then, its growth can not chase with the increasing of NO2. To reduce the NO2, you can change water more frequently. For long term, you may consider to add some bio-rings, Aqua chargers, a sand bottle...........etc.

I've a 40" FO tank which set up on March. I don't know why but the NO2 in my tank never raise up, always in the lowest level(maybe, my NO2 test kit is out of order :D ). I've suspected that whether the N-cycle is completed or not before. If you want to try my method, just give me your email address and I'll send it to you tonight.

What did you put in the 筒 for biological filtration? If you don't mind spending a bit more money, I suggest you getting a bottle of Aqua Chargers as your canister may not be sufficient to handle the filtration for your 36" tank. And as a short term solution to solve the shooting high of NO2, I suggest you adding Prime from Seachem which can detoxify ammonia and nitrite.

As advised by others, feed less. Fish seldom die of starving. :)

新缸四日就放魚,實在太快了,一般加佐硝化菌也必須要七日至十日,先至夠成熟落魚,而且一次唔可加好多魚,兩三條小丑或雀鯛即可,待生態慢慢成熟再加魚,得閒去睇下ph8.4,呢段期間叫養水
