Posted by: kwyeung Posted on: 2004-06-09 21:01 請指教各位大老,四寸雙印,買來兩個星期,紅蟲,丰年蝦試過,都唔開口,喂魚時又學其他魚走埋一齊,好似爭食.實情襯熱鬧,試都悟試.請問仲有冇辦法. | |

Unlike the Angels, most of the butterflies like to take the sea worms or invertebrates on or in the rocks/coral. They are accustomed to take such food when they are in the sea. Since your butterfly is 4" but not a baby, maybe it is hard to teach it to take the food that you provide. So just let it free la, 要食佢自然會食. Someone has the experience that using the fresh clam (bought from market) can make the butterfly open mouth, maybe you can try try this method. However, this may lead to a poor water condition in your tank. Therefore, just remove the clam if you find it stops eating or no interest on it. | |

Posted by: Kenny Posted on: 2004-06-12 10:21 One more thing, I always find that the butterflies sold in Tsuen X and Yat X are generally not in their good conditions(especially the cheapest ones). This maybe one of the reason that lead the butterflies not to open mouth when you bring them into your tank. I've many failure case/try from these shops and I'm afraid to try again from there now. |) | |

Posted by: kwyeung Posted on: 2004-07-06 20:42 雙印終於開口, 個幾月黎,試過紅蟲, 生丰年蝦, 貼缸魚糧, 蜆,蝦乾, 都唔食, 終於係街市買十蚊鮮蝦 ,脫殼剪碎, 終於開口搶食,真是開心.遲些去旺角買多條蝶魚慶祝先. :D | |
