Very lucky you, you have picked up the only clever Regal among 10 that will eat dried food. No need to go through that period with anxiety.
There are 2 very beautiful Golden Regal on sale today at Happiness. Both are small at 2.5".
Post some pictures if you can please !

Don't know about the price. I have a normal Philippines Regal (2" $80) which is the picture above (the belly is gray). Golden Regal is more yellowish as you can see from picture below.

Generally, golden Regal's color is more striking and attractive.
Should cost around HK$250 or above.

Dennis, can you tell me what kind of food are you feeding your Regal ? I would like to expand the choices to my Regal as well.
I am feeding the following to my Regal: TetraBits, Tetra DoroMarin, Tetra Pond, Tetra Arowana, Tetra DoroGreen, Sera Freeze Dried Shrimp

DENNIS

Can I ask what other fishes are you keeping with the Regal ?
If Regal is kept with other non-aggressive fish, she has a hgher chance of eating.
The biggest problem usually is that this fish is often introduced to hobbyists' tank with other aggressive angelfishes.

I seems to have got the number wrong when I said Golden Regal cost HK$250 or above. Another hobbyist has bought a Golden Regal for HK$100 from 魚樂無窮.

I just keep her in sieve because I know that you mentioned as many angles in my tank, I afraid she can't get the foods after release, I have no idea now, continue keeping her in sieve for a period & hope she would become much eating!

It may sound stupid but, try to keep the Regal there for a month before releasing her. Then observe a few hours to see if she is being chased or whether she might stop eating. If lucky, other fish may have got used to the Regal already and spare her the chase.

The difficulty of keeping a Regal is more because of other aggressive tankmates, and to a lesser extend, cynaide fishing (in fact this is not a big problem nowaday). If there is no other angelfish even a Philippine Regal (instead of Golden Regal from Red Sea) may start to take food from human. But the trick is always to buy 4" or smaller.

In the longer term, try to consider a auto feeder like this (HK$95 from Chuen Ho). Angelfish will fatten themselves by several feeding a day (at small portion). There is a higher chance that if a fish doesn't get something to eat in the first instance, will get something in the second. The downside is that you may need more frequent water change.

That's a halve of a name card box. I have turned it into a feeder stand.
